Who doesn’t love being cozied up in a blanket with the fire burning while the snow falls on the other side of the window watching Christmas movies. It’s picture perfect and one of my top favourite things to do during the holidays. There are very few things better than a night in with a movie and snow on the ground outside.
While the Hallmark Christmas movies are great and easy to get hooked on, nothing beats a classic holiday film, though. For me, it has always, always been Home Alone. I love watching that movie as I wrap my Christmas presents by the fire, pausing occasionally to watch my fav scenes.
Below I curated a list of the top 15 classic holiday movies that you can add to your list this year. We have plenty of time at home these days, so why not watch ones you may not have seen or re-watch the ones that never get old for you.
Home Alone
The Grinch
Elf
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
The Santa Clause
The Holiday
A Carlie Brown Christmas
The Polar Express
Miracle on 34th Street
Jingle All the Way
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Frosty the Snowman
Jack Frost
The Christmas Chronicles
It’s a Wonderful Life
P.S. I originally had this post as the “Top 5” but I couldn’t choose just 5 and it quickly got to “Top 10”. I had a hard time stopping, as you can tell, because the list kept growing and here we are at 15 movies in total. Can’t be mad though, Christmas only comes once a year and in our house, we don’t watch Christmas episodes or movies if it’s not Christmas (Shaun’s rule, lol).

I love all the movies you listed & have already watched 4 so far, but I always like to watch White Christmas, if I happen to see it coming onto TV.
